This reminds me of John Forrest in the original lead up to federation had a lot bargaining power because of the natural wealth of Western Australia. I wonder if this will mean the other states will be opportunist and depend on the Western Australian economy as were the fears of WA locals leading up to creation of Australia as a Nation.
