Workers receive writs in industrial dispute
The 107 Perth construction workers who have received writs from the secretive Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC) will have their first federal court appearance in Perth on August 29. The Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union’s (CFMEU) Western Australian branch is calling for unions and community groups in all states and territories to support the workers with solidarity actions on that day. It has also called for financial support for the workers.
