Are your kitchen cupboards to blame for your expanding waistline?
If you are finding it difficult to do up your pants these days, (without blaming the washing machine for shrinking yet another pair), then it may be time to assess your crockery and cutlery cupboards.
The bigger the bowls and spoons, the bigger the portions of food we are allowing ourselves.

Personally I’d be more worried about what we’re putting into the bowls and plates in the first place… but then I’m a self confessed huge plate lover… and a chubby one at that… so maybe you have a point.

So that’s where it’s all going wrong!

There is something to be said also about not wanting to ‘waste’ food. The decision seems to be made only once the food is served - rather than when you are choosing portions to cook, when the decsion should be made.
Once cooked - the food is going to ‘wasted’ no matter whether you leave it on the plate - or eat it. I don’t want to get into specifics - though - I think you know what I mean!
Maybe if we thought about whether we really needed to fininsh our plate, instead of eating it all automatically out of some misguided notion of not wanting to ‘waste food’ - we would be better off.
Or am I just the only one?

If you feel full and there’s still food left on your plate, stop eating. Easy!
Feeling peckish? Have a glass of water to fill your stomach.
