Bus seatbelt installation timeline criticised
The West Australian Government has been criticised for taking too long to install seatbelts on school buses. The issue came to head when nearly 30 Mandurah students wearing seatbelts escaped injury when their school bus crashed in late 2005.

Ridiculous really, we put our precious new bubs in 5 point harness, child restraints in our cars and are fanatical about it (with very good reason). Then we send them off to Kindy and School where they go on buses unrestrained off to excursions, swimming lessons etc
