What country people think about road safety
A regional road safety forum has had some surprising and disturbing results. Like most country areas, the Wagin district in southern Western Australia has lost its fair share of people on the roads. In the past couple of years, 10 to 15 people from the region have died in car accidents and many more have been injured, says Wagin MLA Terry Waldron. However, what ultimately prompted him to set up the Regional Road Safety Forum in Narrogin this month, was the number of single vehicle accidents resulting in death or serious injury.
