Oliver calls his Mum in Perth after Fall in Field

The photo with this article shows the impact on the running rail when outstanding jockey Damien Oliver's horse Langarza had a heart attack and collapsed at Werribee yesterday. Damien Oliver called his mum Pat in Perth to let her know he was ok from the back of the ambulance. Damien suffered a broken bone in his hand, a cut to the chin and bruising to his body after slamming into the running rail. Oliver has already lost his brother and father in racing accidents and has had his fair share of accidents too. How long he will be out this time is unclear.
