He may have been over the top, but no one can deny that Steve Irwin did great work in promoting Australia, and the beauty and awe of nature. Rest In Peace!

As a footnote, Rich posted the pic up here and it also made its way to Wiki very quickly as the main picture on their site.
has had some great exposure - and very well deserved.
Wiki has done a marvellous job in reporting the incident and has been the first to collaborate all the news coming in his death very quickly.
