THERE was no mistaking the Australian touches at New York Fashion Week overnight. Models high-stepped down the runway in heels trimmed with kangaroo fur; one dress was named after actress Abbie Cornish; and a fashion designer, showing in Manhattan for the first time, retained the laid-back calm of a Sydney beach-goer.
