Embarrassing 18 minute T3 call bungle

nvestors have been steadily calling the federal government's T3 prospectus hotline this week, although a repeat performance of an embarrassing 18 minute delay to speak to an operator could leave some potential shareholders scratching their heads. Australian Associated Press (AAP) called the T3 prospectus hotline on Wednesday and despite an operator answering after just 28 seconds, it took 18 minutes and ten seconds before the operator realised there was a caller on the end of the line. "I'm really sorry about that," said the operator, who had been chatting to colleagues about Telstra's massive job cuts. "I must have accidentally pressed a mute button or something and I'm really, really sorry I can't apologise enough."
