WA boom times to continue, but global risks loom
Western Australia's stellar economic performance is expected to continue over the next two years despite continuing capacity constraints. Only a development impacting on the state's export customers - such as a slowing of the giant US economy - could interrupt this outlook. In its latest quarterly analysis, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA estimates that the WA economy grew by 5.8 per cent in 2005-06, more than twice the rate of growth recorded nationally.
