Women's Aus Open final: Sharapova vs. Williams

Kim Clijsters' last Australian Open has ended by losing to Maria Sharapova in the semi-finals. At least Sharapova's father was relatively calm, in contrast to the coaching-from-the-crowd in her last game that earned him a fine.

Earlier, Serena Williams beat the upstart Nicole Vaidisova to get herself into the final. Late last year, many commentators said that Serena wouldn't be able to make a comeback ... they have been proven wrong!

In the night session, Andy Roddick fell apart in his game with Roger Federer, putting the Fed Express into his seventh straight Grand Slam final. At one stage, Roddick seemed to yell out \"why is everything going wrong?!\"

And to think that all of these games, which were billed as tough challenges, were straight-sets wins ...
