Judd is under investigation

Chris Judd is being investigated by the match review panel for the alleged eye gouging episode which occured on Saturday when Hawthorn defeated the Eagles. SEN reports the committee are having a close look at the incident.
Campbell Brown has stated that Judd did scratch his cheek, but did not eye gouge him. However recent history suggests the tribunal take little regard of players testimonies.
The Eagles have now lost two of their past three games.

I really don’t understand the issue here. If Campbell Brown says that he did not have his eyes gouged where does the complaint come from? I think this is just a reaction to the TV footage, which can be deceiving.

Many players would want to protect each other from getting reported/ repremanded. I think it’s fair enough that the tribunal take other player’s comments into account, but they also need to look at the vision and judge for themselves objectively. Just because a complaint hasn’t been made doesn’t mean the rules weren’t broken.
I agree with Marked, from the footage I’ve seen it looks bad. I’m sure Judd’s good and clean reputation will certainly help him though. I can’t see him being penalised as harshly as say… Jeff Farmer…

I understand what you are saying, but the Tribunal has ignored whatever players have said this year…..paid no heed to it at all. Campbell Brown can say whatever he liked, but the tribunal will base their decision on the video evidence, which to my eyes looks pretty damming. If we do want to listen to players, Cambell Brown did state on radio that he felt his face because he thought is was bleeding. Why did he think that?

Judd has been given one week. Should have been at least three when you consider Farmer got six.
