Wesfarmers confirms Coles bid

Wesfarmers Ltd, the frontrunner to take over Coles Group Ltd, on Friday confirmed it had lodged a bid for the retailer. "I can confirm we've lodged an all-of-company proposal," a Wesfarmers spokesman in Perth said.
