BP pushes fuel prices above average
Today, BP on Warton road left little doubt that they are in the forefront of high fuel prices.
FuelWatch today reported that the price for unleaded fuel at the Warton Road BP service station was 11cents higher than surrounding service stations.
ULP 120.9 Coles Express, Canning Vale 280 Bannister Rd, Canning vale
ULP 120.9 Caltex Woolworths, Canning Vale Cnr Amherst & Nicholson Rds, Canning vale
ULP 121.5 Caltex Starmart, Canning Vale Cnr Ranford & Wilfred Rds, Canning vale
ULP 121.5 Caltex Starshop Bannister, Road 60 Bannister Rd, Canning vale
ULP 121.5 Caltex Starshop, Livingston 110 Ranford Rd, Canning vale
ULP 121.9 Caltex Starmart Thornlie, Square 316 Spencer Rd, Thornlie
ULP 121.9 Caltex Starshop Gosnells, South 2347 Albany Hwy, Gosnells
ULP 121.9 Caltex Starshop Gosnells, North 2100 Albany Hwy (cnr Mills St), Gosnells
ULP 121.9 Caltex Starmart Thornlie, 219 Yale Rd, Thornlie
ULP 133.9 BP Huntingdale, Cnr Warton & Matilda Rds, Huntingdale
The price is well above what any other service station in that area reported and it should let us wonder why that is?
Certainly the australian economy is good, especially versus the US dollar.
Yahoo Finance reports the exchange rate to be at $0.85 so we can only speculate to the rise of unleaded fuel at BP.
Will the ACCC look into this or will they continute to keep their eyes closed regardless of the statements made lately with prison sentences being on the cards for not keeping the fuel prices accurately.
Warnings has come out that we can expect a price rise due to the demand that the US summer holidays will put onto the petrol companies, but that is still days away.
Has BP pushed the price up early in an attempt to gain an early profit?

Comments
I get the daily fuelwatch email, and it usually includes the Petrol Stations above. BP is never the cheapest, and is usually quite a lot higher than the Caltex and Coles ones (I don’t think it’s usually quite this much higher, but is always significant).
