The AFL has charged fallen West Coast star Ben Cousins with bringing the game into disrepute. The AFL Commission made the decision at a meeting this afternoon, league chief executive Andrew Demetriou said in a statement.

Starting to feel a bit sorry for Ben….he is in rehab…he is trying to sort his life out….Maybe the AFL should get Nisbett in there for bringing the game into disrepute.

This is administration gone mad. I think this is purely the AFL trying to send a message to other players, but I’m afraid society and the pressures and delights that brings is beyond the control of the AFL…no point trying to be big brother.
