THE West Coast Eagles AFL club has announced its own independent investigation into the embattled club, to be led by former Western Australia deputy premier Hendy Cowan.

Interesting fallout from the whole Eagles debacle: Subi Markets usually has lots of Eagles and Dockers stuff for sale. Yesterday there was only Dockers stuff. Maybe just a coincidence. Maybe not.

Hopefully with some new leadership in place at the club with Mark Barnaba as chairman and Darren Glass as captain the club can slowly move forward to fix the underlying problems it has and to also rebuild public perception of the club.

The Eagles doing their own investigation is like Mugabe holding his own royal commission….nothing will be found, but there will be a big announcement, “Eagles declare we are clean! Sponsors, jump back on board!”
