The average Australian has up to ten virtual personalities and risks suffering "virtual split personality disorder" according to a Melbourne University Professor.

A report at News.com.au, complete with fancy split personality graphic, said that "most Australians believe it is acceptable to provide false details online and don't trust the information on other people's virtual identities, including Facebook and MySpace pages, gaming profiles and online shopping accounts."

I for one must be boring as I have no more than one additional personality which I use to play poker and send anonymous tips to Crikey with via a 13 year old Yahoo account.

Do you suffer from multiple internet personality disorder? how many online personalities to you keep? let us know in the comments.

Just two - one being the online extension of my real world personality and one alias, which is still me but under a pseudonym for various purposes.
