The AFL have informed the Kangaroos football club that they will not grant them the requested extension of 12 months to make a decision on the proposed move to the Gold Coast . AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou stated that the Leagues priority was to have a visible presence in Gold Coast market.

Kangaroos board member and 'Footy Show' host James Brayshaw, is expected to stand down if the board, which is presently split on the decision, decides to accept the 100 million dollar package and move from Melbourne. Their is to be a club members meeting tonight where the issue will be discussed.
