Seem to have the quake 34 mins ago, around 12pm here in Melbourne or just before 1am in London.

I am in Nottingham and felt the quake for a few seconds around 1am. I thought someone was trying to break in through the garage, the whole house shook causing the garage door to rattle. Where is the epicentre? Does anyone know?

The location was not from from Leeds and about 12 miles (by road) from Lincoln
It also seems that small earthquakes are not uncommon in the UK

4.7? Really? … I wonder if anyone noticed the following other earthquakes in the last 24 hours:
5.0 or more in the Philippines, Japan, Vanuatu, Afganistan, Greece and Santa Cruz
a 6.0 in Nevada
and a couple over 7 in Indonesia (along with almost a dozen aftershocks over 5 and some even over 6)
The 7.4 in Indonesia makes it 500 times more powerful than the one in the UK…. I guess that this is news since (a) we do not normally associated the UK with Earthquakes, (b) its where our head of state lives and (c) its in the Western World.

Correction: Above list is for the last week - not the last 24 hours.
