Fremantle open 2008 tribunal account
The Dockers have taken the first step in retaining the 'Dirtiest Team' crown that it has secured for the past two seasons. Heath Black has shown that the culture at the club had not improved as he opened the Dockers tribunal account by abusing umpire Stephen McBurney during a NAB cup match last weekend. Black is facing a $900 fine should he accept the charge. The Dockers squandered a 21 point lead to lose the match by 37 points to the Kangaroos.
Black has a history of anger management issues both on and off the field. He has been charged nine times during his career and found guilty seven times. In the 2007 season Black was charged and found guilty twice. In January 2006, Black was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, obstructing police officers, and assaulting a public officer when he struck an off-duty police officer at the Perth Cup.
The Fremantle Dockers were the most reported team in AFL in 2007 by a clear margin of more than 50% over the second most reported team (Collingwood). In 2007, 26 players were reported and 24 were found guilty. Players were suspended for a total of 17 matches and fines of $17,100 imposed.
On field indiscretions appear to be the Dockers modus operandi as it was also the most reported club of the 2006 season. Fremantle look headed for hat-trick with serial offenders Jeff Farmer and Josh Carr taking the field in 2008. Essendon recruit Mark Johnson will also not help Fremantle's cause.
In 2007, Dockers convictions included eye-gouging, foot-stomping, kneeing, making forceful front-on contact, attempted tripping, striking and rough contact.

Off topic as usual.
March 14 - the day the witchhunt concludes with WCE becoming the AFL’s Joan of Arc.

what happened to Joan??

I’m sure you know. She suffered a similar fate to that transpiring at the moment…persecuted and then sacrificed out of ignorance.
Just as the AFL will sacrifice the WCE in a misguided effort to divert attention away from its pathetic stance on drug testing.

I agree with you about the AFL’s stance. If they had done the right thing….2006 would never have happened.

What…the whole year would not have occurred? I know you would like to erase the premiership from the copybook but if we drop 2006 then we would also be without:
Fremantle winning the onfield violence award
Heath Black assaulting a police officer
Jeff Farmer punching bouncers
Jeff Farmer punching his girlfriend
Adam Goodes winning the Brownlow
After a typical poor start to the season Fremantle winning 9 games in a row to finish 3rd. This amazing turnaround of form can only be explained by performance enhancing substances in 2006 as it has never previously or subsequently occurred.
Fremantle winning its first final (see previous explanation).

You forgot Fremantle winning both derbies
Worsfold admitting 8 players were using illicit drugs, West Coast premiership tainted.
Would West Coast have won the premiership if the AFL had not had such a pathetic stance on drug use? I don’t think so, West Coast would not have had two of its star midfielders for a start.

Winning both derbies. Oh, I forgot how important those games are to Fremantle supporters. Fremantle could lose every other game in the season but it would not matter if it won the derbies. All the more reason to suspect that Fremantle were using performance enhancing drugs.
In answer to you question, yes. WCE’s performance was in keeping with the quality of its player list at the the time.
When did this admission take place? Again I think you are making inferences based on your biases.

Worsfold admits up to 8 players taking drugs, including Kerr
I know its hard to believe…but then thats what happens if you only read the Sunday Times.

And there’s your inference - that the former players are the same players as the players in the 2006 premiership. There was certainly no admission that any of this took place during season 2006.
Again, I don’t believe that Worsfold ever used those words. Just some hack journalist paraphrasing and sensationalising.
Did the Sunday Rag Times report it differently?
