Fremantle show character in loss to Hawks
Fremantle Coach Mark Harvey was happy with his players endeavors in the third and fourth quarter of the Dockers loss to Hawthorn. In the end a 15 point loss could have been a lot worse with Hawthorn being up by over 30 points at the half time break. Grover played well on Franklin, yet Buddy also contributed to his side.
The introduction of Rhys Palmer, Garrick Ibbotson and Chris Mayne was a very encouraging sign for the Dockers with all of them playing well and with great spirit.
The move of McPharlin to the forward line was inspired as in the third term Fremantle threatened to snatch the lead back from the Hawks on the back of intense crowd support.
Umpire McBurney earned the crowds wrath in the fourth term with a number of crucial decisions going the Hawks way in a puzzling display on inconsistency.
Harvey stated that he is looking forward to next weeks derby, which takes on added significance for both WA sides coming off disappointing losses.
