Police raid Sunday Times, so journa's post story and video about raid to website. What got me was the offending article was published on February 10 and the search warrent was executed April 30. The speed of justice in WA.

Though … what am I missing in the story? Obviously, with News.com.au being the parent company for Perth Now they’re not going to incriminate themselves or say anything negative … but I don’t see what the problem is or the justification for the issuing of the warrant and the police raid?
As a CitJ can I expect coppers rocking up at the front door if I published a story on the Norg that some politician doesn’t like?

At first I took it as a bit of a joke, but if you look further it is a little strange.
The Major Fraud Squad usually only handle cases with financial losses above $50k.
The search involved 20 officers to investigate the unauthorised disclosure of one or more confidential documents.
If it was such a significant crime that it required the majority of staff of a major police unit, why did it take 11 weeks to take action?

The coppers are going to be hard-pressed to find any sources of information for ANY of the stories they write. Don’t they make most of their stuff up? =)

The d’s will have to shout a couple rounds at the Court Bar for that one. I particularly liked the story Paul Lampathetic wrote some time ago about the education department initiative to have cops instructing kids at schools about how to use bongs.
