Local TV current affairs seems to be in a very poor state. 7's Today Tonight is about as sharp as a sponge. Their web site lists stories two weeks after they air. Not current. Not news.
The show I watched was pretty much a 30 minute advertisement for The West Australian. Not surprising given the share-holding that Seven has in The West but just completely undermining the program as any sort of objective commentary. Does anyone notice or care? The West TV election commentary they co-broadcast features Gary Adshead doing a poor imitation of The Chaser. Adshead is not a comedian. It's embarrasing. Stop it.
And a petty criticism I must voice as a marketing/media guy: two identical commercials in the same ad break for Volkswagen. I hope they are not being charged twice.

Gary Adshead doing comedy … nooooo! Don’t watch TT or any TV these days really. I’d rather not waste the time, when I can find far superiors stuff on the internet.

I have watched Adshead on West TV and he is far from a chaser the chasers just did stupid pranks Adshead is actually rather smart and telling it like it is I mean no one really cares what the politicians do before the election you might as well spread some humour into the situation…
