Wireless power revolution
Intel is developing a wireless power transmission system that will potentially free appliances from power cords and AC adapters. The power is transmitted by exploiting magnetic rather than electric fields.

It sounds awesome in theory, but you have to wonder if this would have any long-term health affects.

Depending on the field strength, I’m thinking it’s negligible. We’re already constantly surrounded by magnetic fields. I do wonder if it will affect the usual people (like those with pacemakers) who already shouldn’t go near stronger fields (like from MRI instruments).
