Why have the media missed the sister act?
Why haven't the media jumped on the fact that there's a 'sister act' in this election - two MacTiernans running in opposing parties?
Minister Alannah MacTiernan and sister Diana are in Labor and Greens WA camps respectively, both campaigning on public transport issues - more mainline services into the early hours (Alannah), and a light rail linking service to main stations to increase uptake (Diana/Greens WA).
A former WA Buddhist Society President is running as the Greens candidate in the South (Sol Hanna) - but yet again the community newspapers appear to be fairly silent on campaigning issues in local electorates.
Caught short by a lack of campaigning time, it may be the smaller parties - which offer more of a democatic choice? which suffer the most in this snap election.

I agree it is a disadvantage to smaller parties, but then this is Australia - it’s essentially a two-party system.

I’m voting for the greens because for the first time the 2 main parties are really annoying me atm.
