Sony will set a precedent for the Australian television retailing industry by increasing prices of its Bravia flat panel television range by up to 15 per cent from 1 February due to the decline of the Australian dollar against the Japanese Yen.

As long as the new Mitsubishi Laser TV’s are a) cheaper and b) available in Australia by the time we eventually finish building our new house, they can raise their prices all they want
