Support Awards 2009 – Celebrating Great Service
Nominations are open for this years Support Awards. For the next 30 days anyone can nominate their favorite company, customer service department or helpdesk agent through the competition's website Supportawards.org.
Corey Ganser
from Mindtouch
has launched the Support Awards to celebrate, recognize and reward those companies, departments and support agents delivering enlightened customer service.
We all know how challenging and difficult it can be representing a company. Customer Service Agents are often the first contact point customers have with the organization and often too those interactions are stressful. So here’s a chance to acknowledge those shining stars, for their passion, diligence and dedication to customer support.
From August 1st you can nominate a company or support agent for outstanding customer support or service by filling out the nomination form
. The winner will receive the coveted R.E.C.S.S. (Recognition for Excellence in Customer Support and Service). These awards span across multiple industries and company sizes. From small businesses to large corporations.
Seeing as Zendesk
is sponsoring the Support Awards, I decided to contact Corey and discover what motivated him to start the project.

Corey comes from a hospitality background and has always been passionate about customer service. He said that Mindtouch had received awards for their application, technology and start-up success but given that they too are focused on delivering exception customer support, wanted a way to celebrate that.
His ambition for the Support Awards is to develop a wider community around the Customer Support industry. From celebrating success to nurturing collaboration, the sharing of advice and peer support for agents on the front line.
So. Who’s given you enlightened customer service this year? You have a few days to think about which companies have inspired you, which agents have gone the extra mile to resolve your request or help you in a unique way.
Thanks to all the Sponsors of the 2009 Support Awards. Mindtouch
