Saints vs Geelong

The key player for saints Nick Reiwoldt

Played like the superstar that he is in the two finals that the Saints have played in. His 9 goals are a fair sum of the 21 that his team has kicked all up which just shows his importance to the Saints chances. There are few defenders that can run with him due to his strength, marking and endurance but Geelong’s Harry Taylor is one who has before.

It’s a pretty simple equation. If Reiwoldt fires; the Saints will win.

The key player for Geelong Matthew Scarlett

This will be Matthew Scarlett’s biggest challenge of 2009. The Saints forward line has been very impressive throughout the season and stopping its impact will either win or lose this match. Scarlett the backline general for the Cats will wear the bulk of the responsibility.

The best Grand Final of the last three years. The sweetest victory for Geelong and the bitterest of defeats for St Kilda. The Saints didn't make the most of their opportunities when they were dominating the game. St Kilda couldn't find the goal kickers to secure the victory and create the scoreboard pressure that they desperately desired. Geelong sticked in there and managed to pull through for a great victory. Paul Chapman was the Norm Smith Medalist but it was hard to seperate the players. The Norm Smith could have been given to any one of about six players in a hard fought contest that made for a great Grand Final.

AND THE BIG MOMENT!

When the free kick to Schneider in the goal square against Darren Milburn for demonstrative behaviour.

GO GEELONG!    The victory was for Geelong in the end of the great game.
