Symphony in the City
City of Perth
SYMPHONY IN THE CITY
Date: Saturday 12 December
Time: 8pm
Venue: The Perth Esplanade
Price: FREE
One of Australia’s most popular and entertaining conductors, Guy Noble, will lead the
West Australian Symphony Orchestra as they perform a selection of recognisable and
favourite Russian classics, including Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain and
excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Also featuring beautiful West Australian
soprano Katja Webb, the night will culminate with the mighty 1812 Overture complete
with the Swan Bells and the 7 Field Battery of The Australian Army Reserve Artillery.
Although only in its fourth year, Symphony in the City is fast becoming a favourite event
in Perth’s Christmas festivities, and best of all is free to attend, making it a wonderful
attraction for people of all ages.
Symphony in the City is proudly supported by the City of Perth and Lotterywest.
The event is easily accessible from the Esplanade Train Station and Esplanade
Busport. Visit www.transperth.wa.gov.au for details on routes and ticket options.
